WHAT DOES SHE DO?
(Scene: an old lady in an armchair. Her grandson is running into the room).
Philip: Hello, grandmother.
Grandmother: What?
Ph. : I said "Hello". I've got a girl friend comming to dinner.
Gr-er: What have you brought for dinner?
Ph. : Oh, God, nothing. I said I had got a girl friend coming for dinner.
Gr-er: A girl friend? What's her name?
Ph.: Her name's Janet. She's charming.
Gr-er: She's what?
Ph.: Granny, I said she was charming. You'll like her.
Gr-er: I’ll what?
Ph.: I said you'd like her. She's a very interesting girl, too.
She trains animals in the circus.
Gr-еr: What does she do?
Ph.: I said she trained animals in the circus.
Gr-еr: Good heavens A girl training animals. Other реople's
grandsons meet lovely teachers, nurses, dressmakers,
actresses, secretaries... And my grandson meets an animal
trainer. Of all people. What animals does she train?
Ph.: She's got bеаrs and an elephant.
