                                      My Speciality
     Orenburg State University is the youngest but most rapidly developing higher
 educational establishment in the region. Recently it has made significant advances in
  educating an ever greater proportion of the population. Among the teaching staff of
    the University you will find national award winners, textbook authors, technical
  experts, entrepreneurs who successfully bring their research to the marketplace, and
 inventors who change the way we live. Today the overall number of students is more
 than 30,000. Each year there appear more and more new specialities covering almost
                          all spheres of the national economy.
        One of the faculties at the University is the Faculty of Information
Technologies. It was organized on November 5, 1999. Now the Faculty comprises
several departments. The largest and leading are the departments of Computer
Software, Applied Information Studies, Computing Machinery Complexes Systems
and Networks. They all deal with different aspects of modern developments in IT
sector.
        One of the most promising is the Department of Information Studies. It
appeared in 1999 to train IT specialists with an additional qualification of translators.
