Texas. On hearing this demand the lawyer couldn’t help being surprised. It took the man
demanding his money several minutes to explain what the matter was. The alarm-clock didn’t ring
at the required time and the man sleeping soundly was late for his plane. The lawyer didn’t
consider the explanation given reliable enough and decided to make an experiment. He went to the
shop selling these alarm-clocks. They put four alarm-clocks to ring at 7 a.m. In the morning it
turned out that two of them stopped long before the required time. One of the tested alarm-clocks
didn’t ring at all. And the last rang at 9 a.m. The data received made it possible for the man to get
his money back.
