Preface


Each of us from different cultural backgrounds has a unique way of doing things,
analyzing situations, and reacting to circumstances. Our individual way of viewing a
situation is called perception. Our perceptions of life can be changed, this difference
in perception makes up cultures.


To know another country you need to understand its citizens’ thinking and
expectations. In this book you will experience how people in the United States think,
live, and act. You will also see how they perceive others and interpret actions and
behaviors. At the same time, you will compare your own culture, traditions, and the
ways of responding to situations.
