be either uncountable or countable in different contexts. Translate into Russian.

NB! Such nouns as CURRANTS, STRAWBERRIES, CHERRIES,
GRAPES, RAISINS, ONIONS, CARROTS, POTATOES, CABBAGES,
CHIPS, CRISPS and some others are more often used in the plural when
we talk about an amount (Cp. Russian: морковь, лук, капуста, клубника
единств. число с собирательным значением).
But:
a strawberry – ягода клубники, a grape – виноградинка, an onion – луковица.
NB! Some count nouns can be used as uncount when they refer to
the substance/ food:
There are a few onions in the fridge. vs. The soup tastes of onion.
Are there any carrots left? vs. Is there carrot in the stew?
There were a lot of fish in the river. vs. Would you like fish or meat?
