While Carly was unpacking the things the telephone rang and Bella filled her
in on the operation and how Ruth was going through it.

better condition. Patch spent a lot of time polishing his car and adding little showy
extras. Doing that made his car look good, but Carly really didn't care how Patch's
car looked. He was her interest and he looked terrific. "I stopped to see Sandy," Carly
casually said as she slid into the passenger seat, "and he sends his regards. He
laughed at the idea of all of three of us being together here this summer, but it sounds
as if it might happen."
