вопросы:
1. What is the difference between the words ‘sex’ and ‘gender’?

Family Roles
We use the term ‘sex’ to denote physical differences between males and
females; ‘gender’ is used to describe differences in behaviour, attitudes or roles.
There have been marked changes in gender behaviour over the last 100 years.
Although the mother of the modern nuclear family rears her family in a far
shorter time than was usually the case in her grandmother’s day, many pressures
on her have increased. Families which in the past may have had a maid, a cook,
a chauffeur and a governess now may have the mother taking on all these
functions or roles. In working class families the mother may be cut off from the
companionship and help of her own mother and her other relatives. Both kinds
of mother often stay at home with their babies while their husbands are at work.
The modern mum will probably be spending some time at work once the
