Superchamps
The third exciting round to find this
year’s Superchamps on powerboats,
motorbikes, meteors and jet skis –
with a
little ‘expert’ coaching from Gary
Crowley this week as he tries out his
skills on the Wonderwheel. The
interviewer is Estelle Matthew, with
commentary by Peter Brackley.

Imagine country covered in forests and
inhabited by wolves, bears, lynxes, wild
boar, bison and Arctic foxes – that was
northern Britain 10,000 years ago.
Although these animals are extinct in the
wild here now, the program finds them
all at a special park in Scotland. The
Mighty Mites investigate a bee which
makes its home in an old flower pot.
Also there is a look at the Southern
White rhinoceros which has been saved
by captive breeding at places like San
Diego Wild Animal Park.

Go for It
The second in the series of programs
which shows just how much children
with special needs can do if given the
chance. Groups from all over Britain
have a go at different activities from
land-
yachting to computer music, caving
to ballet. The children talk about their
adventures, their fears, aspirations and
how much confidence they gain through
independence. This week Sara, Marisa
and friends find out how to harness the
wind when they go land-yachting for the
first time and Wayne, Graham and
Elizabeth learn how to make puppets
and put on a show. Don’t forget you can
win a week away in the Go for it
competition.
