4.3 The marking per the above shall be applied as follows:
a) for pipe of nominal size 2-inch and above, the markings
shall be on the outside of the pipe and located approximately
300 mm from the end of each joint. The area of pipe to be
marked shall be clean and dry. The marking shall be paint
stenciled using a white alkyd enamel or equivalent paint;
b) for pipe smaller than 2-inch nominal size, the marking
shall be embossed on metallic tags. The tag shall be attached
to each bundle at one end.
5. Coatings
Pipe shall be supplied without mill coating unless specified oth-
erwise in the Purchase Order.
