     8 Text 7 Human Biology

      If you are fascinated with the complexity of the human body and how it works,
then you should study the Human Biology award at Luton. The course, like the
Health Science award, is structured so that you need not have a strong biological
background prior to entry. However, if you do have a biological background you can
enjoy developing an in-depth knowledge of the subject. Human Biology at Luton
investigates human metabolism, genetics and nutrition which complements an in
depth investigation into the pathology of human disease. The course is practical in
nature and develops a range of transferable skills which are designed to provide you
with a head start in the job market. One feature that will aid you in this task is the
honours project which takes place in the third year of study. The project is linked to
staff research which covers a wide area and has collaborative links with institutions
