1. What are characteristic features of the amphibians?
2. What features do frogs and toads have in common?
The amphibians, or second group of vertebrates, are creatures that live
partly on land and partly in water. Like their cousins, the fishes, they are cold-
blooded
animals, deriving heat only from their surrounding environment. Also
