characteristics. It is widely used in telephony, radio broadcasting and television.
The number of users of analogue and digital mobile communication systems
in the world amounts to tens of millions. It is expected to increase up to 200 million
by the 2l-st century. In Russia digital cell communication is generally used in long-
distance

and international telephone service. At present more than 50 per cent of
long-distance and international telephone stations in our country work on the basis
of digital cell systems.
