       Here is one of the latest achievements in portable personal computers. A
Japanese company is reported to have begun marketing a wristwatch computer
system. The modular system is based on a fairly typical-looking electronic
wristwatch that snaps into a key-pad terminal about the size of a check-book The
wristwatch itself contains a memory chip with a capacity to store some 2000
characters. The key-pad terminal contains the system's circuitry as well as the data
entry controls. Designed as an electronic note pad for travelling people, the system
can be used to keep track of airline and hotel reservations, appointments and phone
numbers. The user simply snaps the watch into place in the key-pad, terminal and
enters the data, transmitted by wireless electromagnetic induction, using the
miniature keyboard. The system must have been on the market after being exposed
at the international industrial exhibition.

       The development of computer science1 has lead to the situation in which the
most important information accumulated by mankind is stored in computers and
made accessible to anyone with a home computer through a global network called
the Internet. The desk computer is able to function as your personal librarian and
adviser. The advent of minicomputers and microcomputers with their extensive
memories and capacities is found to have led to a new higher level in information
culture. The creation of the domestic2 computer industry allows a lot of problems in
culture and education to be solved. Nowadays the educational process in schools,
colleges, institutes and universities is organized on the basis of computer science.
       Working out computerized models of materials studied by learners
programmers feed the contents of books, journals and articles into the computer
memory. This information is analysed, arranged in a certain order and stored by the
computer. All the data processed may be displayed or output in the form of a
listing.
