3. Translate the texts.
A . - “ All tickets, please “ - said the inspector coming the compartment.
While the inspector was asking for the tickets, one of the passengers was
searching his pockets. The inspector looked at him, smiled and said : “ You
are holding it in your teeth, sir “. Then he left.
“ What an absent - minded man you are!” - a passenger said.
“ Oh, no, not at all. I was just chewing off the wrong date”.
B. - An old lady was sitting next to an american soldier in the station
waiting - room. The soldier was chewing a gum. The old lady smiled at him
and said: “It is very kind of you to talk to me, but I am stone deaf

”.
