in America. Read each situation, decide what is appropriate, and choose the answer
that best fits the circumstance.
1. Your neighbor is playing his stereo very loudly. It is three o’clock in the morning
and the music is keeping you awake. What should you do?
a. Shout for him to turn it down.
b. Bang on the wall.
c. Call him on the telephone and politely ask him to turn it down.
d. Do nothing. He can do what he wants – it’s a free country.

2. At a party, your friend offers you marijuana or cocaine. When you politely refuse,
