    Marie and Jennifer had bee neighbors for three months when Marie became
really upset with Jennifer. When they first moved in and got to know each other, they
did everything together. They went grocery shopping together, explored the
neighborhood, took walks, and went to the movies on Friday evenings. They spent a
lot of time in each other’s apartments just talking.
    Now Jennifer seems to have made other friends. Sometimes she includes Marie,
but often she goes out and doesn’t Marie to join her. Jennifer can’t understand what
happened to their friendship.
