Class conflict has two aspects: 1) the unconscious struggle between workers
and capitalist owners in the productive output at a time when class consciousness
is not well developed, and 2) the conscious and deliberate struggle between the
two classes that occurs when workers become aware of their historic role and act
collectively to improve their situation, and ultimately, to take over ownership of
the instrument of production.
