       I. Найдите в каждом ряду прилагательное:
       а) в сравнительной степени

worker, weather, worse, writer;

father, farther, future, further;
meter, motor, mother, more;

       б) в превосходной степени
list, lightness, least, linguist;
forest, furthest, formalist, first;
horse, host, hostel, highest;
disease, digest, dentist, darkest;
must, much, most, month;
wrist, worth, worst, world;
besides, boss, boxer, best.

       II. Раскройте скобки и поставьте прилагательные в следующих
            предложениях в сравнительную или превосходную степень.
            Предложения переведите.
1. Moscow University is the (large) university in Europe.
2. The University is one of the (high) buildings in Moscow.
3. Moscow University is the (good) higher educational establishment in our
   country.
4. Penza State University is (young) than Moscow University.
5. The new building of Penza State University is (comfortable) than the old one.
6. Entrance examinations to Moscow University are (difficult) than to Penza
   Universities.

       III. Переведите следующие предложения, обращая внимание на
            перевод сравнительных союзов:
                   as ... as – так же (такой же) ....как
                   not so ... as – не так(не такой) ...как
                   the ...the ... – чем ... тем...
1. English is as difficult as German and French.
2. The old dictionary is not so good as the new one.
3. The more we study the more we know.
