Далее каждый из четырех членов семьи пишет свою
часть. Приведем эмотивные отрывки из каждой части
(отца, сына, дочери, матери).
1) «But what will remain with me are the deep and
enduring friendships all of us built with students,
colleagues, and families struggling to live their lives and
build a new Russia».
2) «For me, 1998 was a year of excitement, pleasure and
hard work...By the time our seven week stay was over, I was
somewhat sad to leave, and I knew that I had to come back to
learn more».
3) «The year was a great one. I was extremely happy in
school and had numerous fun occasions... Russia in the
beginning met my expectations, but then I realized I didn’t
want to be bored, and that I could make Russia enjoyable if I
approached it with an open mind...I realize that Russians are
content with their lives but always try to make things better,
and they don’t complain how hard it is. They helped me
realize how lucky I really am, and that I should be thankful
for what I have».

Обращает на себя внимание стремление американцев
избежать стандарта в представлении «годового отчета».
