есть определение доминантной и сопутствующих эмотив
ных тем письма, может быть достаточно простой и очевид
ной (в случае писемсоболезнований, благодарственных
писем или поздравлений) или весьма сложной задачей,
когда трудно разобраться в многообразии чувств и калей
доскопе впечатлений автора, отраженных в тексте пись
ма. Сравните:
1. «Dearest Evelyne – Bo – Mr Wu – all the dear names of
different phases and memories – ‘wooing Mr Wu’. You
looked happy when I saw you, and I’m told by others that you
are radiating goodwill – I am delighted, and to receive a
Christmas present from you endorses the rumours. Thank
you darling Bo – it’s a book after my own heart – and just
about what I can digest. Literature like Yogi and the

2. «Just home, greatly rejuvenated by trundling around
