STANDARD INTERNET ADDRESSES
The word address here always refers to an electronic address, not a postal address. If a
computer person asks for your “address”, he or she wants your Internet address.
Internet addresses all follow the same form: the person’s userid (pronounced «юзер – ай –
ди» – “user identification”), followed by an @ character (the “at” sign), followed by the name of
