9 In advertising the right choice of words can help to sell a product.
Match each word on the left with a word on the right. Use each word once

0 The world of advertesing is changing. Previous generations liked clever
1 adverts, which made them laugh but would never allow adverts to
2 actually influence them when shopping.
3 Today’s 15-24 year olds, however have been brought up in a fast-
4 moving world of imediate information from MTV, the internet, computer
5 games and all-day advertising. Advertising is acepted and expected by
6 the young generation, but they don’t want to spend time working out
7 what adverts mean. They want less complicated adverts then their
8 parents did. so adverts are now shorter with only one or two scenes.
9 Posters are biger than they used to be and their messages are clearer.
10 Teens think that an Advertised product is better than other products
11 because the campany has money to spend on advertising. Using
12 famous people in adverts is very popular because a lot of young people
13 really believe, that the stars use the products they advertise. Adverts
14 change more frequently as well. Nowadays, one sucessful advert used
15 for a year is not enouhg – new ones are produced every few months.
