Ex. 3. Copy the following words and memorize their meanings:
an advantage – преимущество;

Translate the following sentences from English into Russian.
1. What are the advantages of living in the country rather than in the city? 2. Add
milk to the mixture before drinking it. 3. I wish you’d stop interfering. You’ve caused
enough problems already. 4. Americans think they are good drivers compared to drivers in
other countries. 5. Being an only child has both advantages and disadvantages. 6. Addi-
tions should be made to the list from time to time. 7. Compact discs have an advantage
over records because they do not scratch or break. 8. That’s my report. Is there anything
you’d like to add, Peter? 9. If you compare him with other children of his own age, he isn’t
very tall.

meanings of the word mind, n and mind, v.

I am gone. 4. When you drive through the village, mind the holes in the road. 5. He asked
