Быстрое развитие новых отраслей науки и техники приводит к появлению в

языке целого ряда неологизмов.

Неологизм - это новое слово, появляющееся в языке, или новое значение уже

имеющегося в языке слова.

Отличительной чертой неологизмов является

их непостоянный

(окказиональный) характер.

Наличие целого ряда возможных вариантов показывает, что слово еще не

стало нормой. Просуществовав в языке определенное время, неологизм либо

переходит в разряд общеупотребительных слов, либо исчезает совершенно.
