2. * По аналогии самостоятельно постройте схемы 4-6 предложений тек-
ста. Каким образом связаны 1-й и 2-й абзацы текста о ракете ? Эксплициро -
вана ли эта смысловая связь?
3. Является ли предложение, сконструированное Н . Хомским , (коге-
рентным ) текстом ? Обоснуйте свою точку зрения.

4. Восстановите пропущенные слова в следующем тексте . Благодаря че-
му (т.е. наличию какого рода знаний) это возможно?

If p_ were the only threat, the e_ might be safe. The ban on i_ sales
achieved at the last meeting of CITES (the Convention on International
T_ in Endangered Species) three years ago was an historic achievement.
A t_ going back 1,000 years was stopped. A slaughter which had so accel-
erated that the African e_ herd was halved in ten years was brought to a
close. Pessimists who predicted prices would spiral through an illegal i_
trade fed by p_ were wrong. Some p_ continues, but only in a small way.

«объяснительной» когерентности текста:

The radiographer ushered Timmy into the X-ray room and placed him
on the table with firm commanding movements. And when Simon moved
to examine a large interesting-looking machine in the corner, she said,
“I’ve got a big stick here for bold boys.” Simon looked bored, his eyes
glazed over. He stopped looking at the machine and sat in the corner.
“I’ve got a ruler”, she said. “I hope I don’t have to use it. A ruler, a
cane.”
And when the photographs had been taken, she repeated the word
“cane”. “We didn’t need the cane,” she said. (… )
