Management skills can be developed. Of

course, some traits of successful managers are

innate: thus, not much can be done about them.

Examples of such traits include aptitudes,

inborn talents, and basic intelligence. But the

view that managers are born is becoming passe.

There is increasing evidence that managers are

made, that managerial skills can be learned.
