6. Ideal occlusal harmony is achieved in all cases with desired cosmetic changes dictating whether
orthodontic or surgical procedures are used to achieve ideal occlusion.
7. We conducted this study to determine if there is an association between third-molar extraction
and TMD in a population of adolescents and young adults using retrospective insurance claims data.
8. In the years following the Second World War, advice about healthy eating often urged mothers
to give their young children diets rich in calcium and vitamin D, so that they would form strong
healthy bones and teeth: the inference was that these strong teeth would be less likely to decay.
9. Some investigators have set out to determine whether it is possible to improve the bond between
sealant and an enamel surface that has been contaminated by saliva.
10. For many years, health educators were cautious about promoting fluoride tablets or drops as it
was considered that their use tended to undermine the case for water fluoridation. In addition, the
relationship between caries and socioeconomic status meant that the individuals most likely to benefit
from their use would be least likely to take them on a regular basis unless they were administered at

11. There will inevitably come a time when an older person can cope no longer with their own oral
