HOW THE WHALE GOT HIS THROAT
I.Pick out the names of the fish from the tale, then consult the dictionary for at
least 10 more names to complete the list.
II.Insert a drawing of a fish into the pattern below following the indications:
dorsal fin
scales
tail
gill snout
anal fin
pelvic fin
III.Read the 1st paragraph observing the rhyme & rhythm of the narration.
What complicates its translation? Try your hand at translation again doing the
bottom paragraph on p.32

IV. Grammar focus
Translate the sentences containing the following grammatical constructions:

"... he would never have done that ..."(p.32)
"I ought to have warned you..." (p.33)
Make up a few examples of your own after the patterns:
